MEDICAL DIRECTOR

Dr. David Schilling

Dr. Schilling has served the Church Hill Medical Mission for over 24 years, bringing decades of experience and a heart for healing. He earned his M.D. from Northwestern University Medical School in Chicago in 1976 and completed his Family Medicine residency at East Tennessee State University College of Medicine in Johnson City from 1976 to 1979.

Licensed to practice in Tennessee since 1977 (License #MD10570), Dr. Schilling has held medical staff positions at both Indian Path and Holston Valley hospitals in Kingsport. His leadership roles have included Chief of Staff and Chairman of the Board at Indian Path Hospital.

In addition to his local practice, Dr. Schilling has participated in 11 international medical missions and is preparing for his next. He also serves in leadership at New Fellowship Ministries in Church Hill. Dr. Schilling is deeply committed to the physical and spiritual well-being of every patient he serves.

Assistant Medical Director

Dr. Cindy Craft

Dr. Cindy Craft joined the Church Hill Medical Mission team in November 2022.  She has always had a passion for serving the underserved and considers it an honor and privilege to serve God in this capacity.  During medical school, at Brody School of Medicine in Greenville, NC, she was an Albert Schweitzer fellow and helped start a free clinic in Hobgood, NC (one of the poorest areas in the state).  This clinic is still in operation by medical students at the Brody School of Medicine.

She completed her residency at Cabarrus Family Medicine in Concord, NC and was honored with the "Servant Leadership" award for her involvement with several medical missions to the Dominican Republic.  She also assisted in a medical mission to Morocco where she mentored first and second year medical students from the Medical University of South Carolina.

Prior to moving to Tennessee in 2022, she was an attending physician at Encompass Health in Rock Hill, SC, working as a hospitalist.  While there, she also served the uninsured residents in Chester county, SC by volunteering every week at the Good Samaritan Clinic in Chester for four years.  She has retired from private practice since 2023 and lives with her husband on a small farm in Greeneville, TN.

CLINIC DIRECTOR

Elleleigh (Michelle) Borowski

Elleleigh (Michelle) Borowski joined Church Hill Medical Mission in April 2025, and became Clinic Director in May 2025, relocating with her family from WI to establish a division of HE Ministries, a non-profit involved in mission trips across Tennessee, Virginia, and Kentucky.

Elleleigh holds a master's degree in human services and 2 bachelor's degrees in psychology with specialties in addiction treatment and Christian Counseling. She previously served as the Program Director for a men's homeless shelter. Her extensive background in ministry, administration, and human services fuels her passion for helping others.

ASSISTANT DIRECTOR

Kathy Christian

Kathy Christian has 30 years of experience in the nonprofit sector. She served as Executive Director of CASA of Sullivan County and The Fire Escape Christian Teen Center, and is now the Assistant Clinic Director of Church Hill Medical Mission.

Kathy is also a two-term alderman in Church Hill, Tennessee. She is dedicated to her community and those she serves. Her other joys include her children, grandchildren, and great-grandson.

Michelle Dubose

PHARMACY TECHNICIAN

Michelle Dubose

Michelle Dubose, started as a pharmacy volunteer at Church Hill Medical Mission in 2017. After two years, she became a staff pharmacy technician and earned her national certification from PTCB. She currently serves as the Pharmacy Tech & Community Health Worker at Church Hill Medical Mission.

Raised in Northeast Tennessee, Michelle has four children and volunteers with The Elf Project, co-chairs the Hawkins County Health Coalition, actively participated in disaster relief in Northeast Tennessee and Western North Carolina, and has joined medical mission trips to Kenya and Malawi for three years

CLINICAL NURSE SPECIALIST

Lowell Miller

Lowell Miller received a MSN degree from King University in 2011. Lowell holds a Certification as a Clinical Nurse Specialist. He has served on several medical mission trips including Haiti and Belize. Lowell worked in Critical Care and taught at Tusculum University in the BSN program. For the past twelve years he has volunteered three to four times a year at Equip International, Marion NC. This involved training long term missionaries thru the Medical Missionary Intensive course.

Lowell’s interest in helping diabetes patients stems from his marriage of thirty-three years to Sandra Miller a type 1 diabetic, now deceased. Lowell has one step daughter two step grandchildren and two step great grandchildren and lives in Johnson City, TN, with his wife Charlene Miller.

RECEPTIONIST

Tina Kilgore

Tina is the newest member of our team, having joined us in August 2025 as our Receptionist. In addition to her receptionist duties, she is also responsible for triage in our office. With seven years of experience as a Medical Assistant, Tina brings a wealth of knowledge and skill to our practice. Her background also includes providing Home Health and Private Duty Care, which enhances her ability to support both our staff and patients effectively.

A native of Kingsport, Tina continues to reside there with her husband. She is the proud mother of four children and grandmother to five grandchildren.
